Big Men Get It Done For 'Cuse

McCullough finished with 17 points and seven rebounds while Christmas fell just a rebound shy of his second double-double of the new campaign and tallied 18 points. Christmas was also just a block shy of tying his career best blocking effort with six on the night.
Â
Trevor Cooney was the third 'Cuse player to notch double-figures with 13 points. B.J. Johnson got the starting nod in Tyler Roberson's place due to an injury and tallied six points and nine rebounds in the win.

Â
Off To The Races

Â
The layup was good for two of just four points allowed in the paint as Christmas and McCullough were nearly impenetrable down low.
Â
Syracuse scored 20 of its 28 points in the opening stanza and its defense held the Greyhounds to 16 points in the opening stanza.
Â
Finishing With The Pedal To The Floor
Syracuse did not let up in the final half, firing out the gate with a 12-1 burst and followed not long after that with a 25-3 surge to bring the score to 68-29 with 4:34 left to play.
Â
The Orange finished the game with double Loyola's offensive output, 42-21 in the latter half. 'Cuse continued to attack the basket, outscoring Loyola 22-2 in the paint and 17-3 on breakaways.
