
Softball Lands Four Signees

'Cuse adds Andrea Bombace, Hailey Archuleta, Hannah Dossett and Sophie Blasius to its incoming class
Hannah Dossett
Warsaw, Ky.
Callatin County High School
Since joining the varsity squad in seventh grade, Dossett has developed into an all-region, all-county talent. She has led her team to four district championships and in 2013 they were the runner-up in the Eighth Region. Last season, she finished with a .601 batting average.
In addition to her high school team, Dossett is on the Louisville Lady Sluggers Travel Team, which in 2014 finished 10th at the Triple Crown Nationals and fifth place in the Colorado Fireworks Super 64.
"I chose Syracuse University because I thought it was a perfect fit for me." Dossett said, "I really loved the coaching staff, the school and the facilities. I am really looking forward to my next four years here."

Wappingers Fall, N.Y.
Roy C. Ketcham High School
A starter on varsity since her freshman year, Bombace has accumulated a .400 batting average, 80 runs batted in and 28 home runs throughout her three seasons. Last season, as a junior, she was awarded all-league, all-section and NYS all-section first team. Her talents have been evident since her sixth grade season, when she won the New York State Athletic Achievement Award.

Along with her high school team, she also plays for the New Jersey Nightmare Gold 18u where she posted 10 home runs, 47 runs batted in and a .428 batting average last season.

Sophie Blasius
Ramsey, N.J.
Immaculate Heart Academy
Blasius was the only one of her class to make the varsity squad as a freshman. Since, she has led her team to league and divisional titles all three seasons. She made first team all-league the last two seasons and received all-county honors as a junior. Blasius has continued to improve her game year-to-year, boosting her batting average from .474 as a sophomore to .517 her junior year.

"Once I stepped foot on campus I knew I belonged there." Blasius said, "There's just this amazing aura that is given off by everything. To be a part of an authentic community is what makes me so excited to attend next fall. My life revolves around this sport and I wouldn't want to represent any other school."

Hailey Archuleta
Yorba Linda, Calif.
Santa Margarita Catholic High School
In three seasons on varsity she has led her team to a Trinity League Championship in 2013 and a second place finish the year prior. Last season, Archuleta finished the National Championship Tournament with a 1.57 earned run average and a .333 batting average.

Along with her individual game and tournament honors she was awarded the E.A.G.L.E.S. Values Award, standing for Excellence, Attitude, God, Loyalty, Ethics and Sacrifice.

Archuleta's competed for a number of travel teams in Southern California as well, including OC Batbusters, California Cruisers and Strike Force 18 Gold. In her final season of travel ball she will seek a PGF Nationals berth with the Southern California 3D 18 Gold.Â
