
Four Earn All-ACC Honors

Alyssa Murray and Kayla Treanor named to All-ACC First Team
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Senior Alyssa Murray and sophomore Kayla Treanor have been voted to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) First Team in a vote by the head coaches. In addition, seniors Katie Webster and Kasey Mock were voted to the All-ACC Second Team.
Murray ranks second in the league in assists per game (1.89) and fourth in points per game (4.38). She has posted five game-winning goals this season, which rank second in the ACC. Murray has 40 goals and 30 assists this season for 70 points. She recorded her 200th career goal in Syracuse's win against Notre Dame last weekend, making her just the second player in school history with at least 300 points, 200 goals and 100 assists in her career.
Treanor leads the ACC in points (5.31) and goals (3.62) per game. In addition, her seven game-winning goals rank first in the conference. Treanor leads the Orange in scoring with 85 points on a team-high 58 goals and 27 assists. She recorded a career-high 11 points in Syracuse's season-opening victory at Jacksonville. That total ties her for second on the Orange's single-game record list. She scored a career-best seven goals against North Carolina to help Syracuse defeat the then top-ranked Tar Heels. Treanor scored her 100th career goal this season, reaching the milestone faster than any player in school history.
Webster ranks third on the in points (35) and goals (27) this season. She's posted three goals in three games and has at least one goal in 15 of 16 games. Webster tied her career high with three assists against Cornell, giving her eight this season. She ranks 10th on the Orange's all-time leader list in points (156) and goals (125).
Mock anchors Syracuse's defense which has held its opponents to less than 10 goals in 10 games and an 8.25 goals-against average this season. She leads the team and ranks third in the ACC in caused turnovers with a career-high 21. In addition, she has set a career high with 24 ground balls. Mock scored her first career goal on a free-position attempt in Syracuse's win at Notre Dame.
The No. 1/2 Orange claimed a share of the ACC title in its first year in the league, posting a 6-1 mark in conference action. Syracuse is the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament and will face No. 7 seed Notre Dame in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 24 at 3 p.m.
