Orange one of eight programs with special Nike uniforms.
The Syracuse University men's basketball team is one of eight programs that will modeling new uniforms in the next few weeks. The Orange are planning to put its design on display when it hosts Virginia on Monday, March 2, in the Carrier Dome.
Men's teams from Arizona, Duke, Florida, Kentucky and Oregon, as well as women's squads from Connecticut and Baylor round out the list of schools involved.
Nike basketball came up with the new Hyper Elite uniforms. Each school's outit will feature a white base with school-specific color lettering and a 26-degree speed graphic of an iconic symbol across the side of the game short.Â
The jersey features a flocked lining at the inside of the neck and ultra-lightweight stretch mesh in the back of the jersey. The front includes lightweight sphere fabric.The game shorts have a perforated, vented waistband and a new performance flex vent by the knee.Â
In addition to the jersey and shorts, the ensemble includes Nike Elite socks, a Nike Shooting Shirt and a Nike Hyper Elite Vest. The vest is sleeveless.
