Game to be televised by either ABC or ESPN
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Orange's Sept. 26 non-conference matchup with perennial SEC power LSU will kick off at noon inside the Carrier Dome, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday, Sept. 14. The game will be nationally televised on either ABC or ESPN.
Tickets are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). In addition, discounted group tickets (20 or more) can be purchased by calling 315-443-3212.
The game marks the first time either team will visit the other's campus. The two previous meetings between Syracuse and LSU have come in bowl games with each side winning once. The Tigers topped the Orange in the 1965 Sugar Bowl, 13-10. More than two decades later, Syracuse prevailed, 23-10, in the 1989 Hall of Fame Bowl behind Robert Drummond's 122 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Syracuse is 2-0 and looks to start the year with three straight wins for the first time since 1991 when it hosts Central Michigan this Saturday. LSU is 1-0 after beating Mississippi State last weekend. The Tigers host Auburn Saturday in an SEC West clash.
