After combining for six goals and four assists on the weekend, Syracuse field hockey players Roos Weers and Emma Lamison were honored by the ACC on Tuesday.
Lamison, who either scored or assisted on all-four first half goals in the Orange's 5-1 win over then No. 2 Duke, was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week, while Weers, who shined in the backfield for the Orange in their two wins, earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Weers shared the honor with Boston College's Frederique Haverhals.
Lamison assisted on a pair of early Weers goals before scoring two of her own in little more than 25 minutes to start the Orange's win over Duke. She followed that performance up with another two assists to start off 'Cuse's 5-0 win over Cornell on Sunday. The Liverpool, N.Y. native earned the honor for the second time this season after collecting the honor following Syracuse's win over Wake Forest earlier this season.
Weers scored the first two goals in each win this weekend, with all-four goals coming off corners. In the backfield, she allowed just one goal over the course of the weekend, which came off a corner, and allowed a total of seven shots on goal throughout the weekend.
Syracuse will next face Virginia on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the regular season ACC finale.
