Orange in the NFL: Week 5

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Nine former members of the Orange football program took the field during the fifth week of the 2016 NFL season. Here's a quick recap of how they fared:

Jay Bromley, New York Giants
- Notched one tackle at Green Bay on Oct. 9.

Riley Dixon, Denver Broncos
- Punted six times for 290 yards (48.3 avg.) againt Atlanta on Oct. 9.

Dwight Freeney, Atlanta Falcons
- Had one sack and two tackles in Atlanta's win against Denver on Oct. 9.

Chandler Jones, Arizona Cardinals
- Had four tackles in Arizona's victory at San Francisco on Oct. 6.
- Ranks 10th in the NFL with four sacks in 2016.

Cameron Lynch, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Promoted from the practice squad and appeared in the Bucs' 17-14 win over Carolina on Oct. 10.

Ryan Nassib, New York Giants
- Did not play at Green Bay on Oct. 9.
- Backup quarterback behind 13-year veteran Eli Manning.

Justin Pugh, New York Giants
- Started at left tackle against Green Bay on Oct. 9.

Andrew Tiller, San Francisco 49ers
- Started for San Francisco against Arizona on Oct. 6.

Shamarko Thomas, Pittsburgh Steelers
- Played and did not record a statistic before being injured against the New York Jets on Oct. 9.
