Etta-Tawo Named to SI.com Midseason All-America Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Redshirt senior wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo has been selected to SI.com's Midseason All-America Team for this performance through the first half of the 2016 college football season. Etta-Tawo was one of two receivers named to the website's second team, along with Western Michigan's Corey Davis.

Etta-Tawo ranks second in the nation in receiving yards (930), seventh in receptions per game (8.0) and leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with six touchdown catches. He has five 100-yard receiving games this year, including a pair of 200-yard performances. Against Connecticut, Etta-Two caught 12 passes for a school-record 270 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Orange to a 31-24 victory.

A graduate transfer from Maryland, Etta-Tawo was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List (nation's most outstanding receiver) in late September. Through seven games, Etta-Tawo has 56 receptions. He is currently on pace to shatter Alec Lemon's school-season record of 72 catches established in 2012.

Next up for Syracuse is a trip to Boston College. The Orange and Eagles square off at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Alumni Stadium. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.
