LB Nadarius Fagan Signs with Orange

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Three-star linebacker Nadarius Fagan has signed his financial aid agreement with Syracuse University and is expected to join the Orange football team in January, head coach Dino Babers announced on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Rated the 43rd-best outside linebacker in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports.com, Fagan starred at Miami's Southridge High School. He recorded 119 tackles, one sack and one interception in 2016 to help the Spartans to a 12-2 record and their first state championship since 1993. As a junior, Fagan led Miami-Dade County with 141 tackles, including 83 solo stops.

Fagan is the Orange's third signee this recruiting cycle, joining junior college All-Americans linebacker Ryan Guthrie and tight end Ravian Pierce.

Syracuse went 4-8 in Babers' first season as head coach. The Orange set or tied more than 40 offensive records in 2016 and defeated ACC Coastal Division champ Virginia Tech for the program's first win against a ranked opponent since 2012.
