SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse senior Kayla Treanor and freshmen Nicole Levy and Alexa Radziewicz have been recognized by Inside Lacrosse magazine for their performances in 2015. Treanor was selected to the All-IL squad, while Levy and Radiewicz were named to the magazine's All-Rookie team.
Â
Treanor led the Orange with 90 points that included a team-high 50 goals and 40 assists this season. In addition, she set the Division I single-season record with 217 draw controls. The Niskayuna, N.Y. native became just the fifth Syracuse student-athlete to earn first-team All-America honors all four years of her career and the first player to earn the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year award three straight years.
Â
The 2016 graduate ranks fourth on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list with 393 points and her 260 goals are the sixth-highest total in Division I history.Â
Levy is the first player in school history to earn ACC Rookie of the Year accolades. She recorded at least one point in 23 of 24 games this season. Levy notched a season and career high of five goals in the ACC quarterfinal victory against Boston College. She also recorded five points at Harvard and in a critical ACC matchup with Notre Dame. As a freshman, Levy ranked third on the team in goals with 46 and third in assists (22). She recorded four points (2g, 2a) in the national semifinals and earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team.
Â
Radziewicz played in all 25 games, making 10 starts, in her rookie campaign. The defender helped the Orange hold their opponents to less than 10 goals 12 times in 2016. Radziewicz was often given the task of face guarding the opposing team's top scorer. She finished the year with 12 ground balls and eight draw controls.
Â
Syracuse made its fifth consecutive appearance and its seventh in the last nine years in the national semifinals in 2016. The Orange posted a 19-6 overall record and ended the year ranked No. 3 in both the coaches and media polls.
