
Syracuse Athletics Yard Sale & Fan Fest are Aug. 13

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Get set for a big day, Syracuse fans! Make plans to be at Manley Field House on Saturday, Aug. 13 for the Syracuse Athletics Yard Sale (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and for the annual Preferred Mutual 'Cuse Fan Fest (3 to 8 p.m.).

The Syracuse Athletics Yard Sale, which will be in the Manley Field House arena, will feature men's and women's apparel and equipment including brands such as Nike and STX. Shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, sports jerseys, basketball warm-ups and shorts, running shoes, basketball shoes, turf shoes, sandals and lacrosse equipment will be available. Only cash and credit cards will be accepted (no checks). Items will not be sold to wholesalers or distributors and are not to be resold.

The Preferred Mutual 'Cuse Fan Fest includes an Orange doubleheader featuring the men's soccer team hosting an exhibition match against New Hampshire at 4 p.m. followed by the Orange football team's annual preseason practice and scrimmage at 6 p.m. Both events will be at the SU Soccer Stadium (East Colvin Street side of Manley Field House). The fun begins at 3 p.m. Admission is free and complimentary parking is available in the Manley North and South lots.

New for 2016 is the Preferred Mutual South Lot Tailgate, which will feature well-known Orange football tailgate groups from all gameday parking lots.

There will be activities for fans of all ages and opportunities to register to win prizes. Kids are invited to form a tunnel to welcome the football team into the stadium prior to its scrimmage. Members of the men's soccer and football teams will be available for selfies with fans following their events. Â

At Wohl Field, Syracuse student-athletes will conduct interactive activities and host selfie stations. Former Orange football standouts will also have their own selfie station. In addition, fans will be treated to a special tasting of the new Perry's Ice Cream 'Cuse 44 flavor, inflatable bouncers for kids and face painting. All 'Cuse fans are invited to try on Syracuse football uniforms inside the Ensley Athletic Center. Their will also be an opportunity to purchase 2016 season and individual game tickets, merchandise and concession items.

Fan Fest will feature a number of benefits for all 2016 football season ticket holders, including an exclusive barbecue and the opportunity to watch the practice and scrimmage from the sidelines.

In the event of inclement weather, the Preferred Mutual 'Cuse Fan Fest will be cancelled. The Syracuse Athletics Yard Sale will not be affected.

Syracuse opens the 2016 season at home on Friday, Sept. 2 against Colgate. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. Tickets are available online, by phone (888-DOMETIX), at Destiny USA kiosks and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). Tickets start at $99 ($16.50 per game) with lower-level seats in the end zones available for as little as $125. In addition, discounted group tickets (15 or more) for all home games can be purchased by calling 888-DOMETIX (Option 2).

Single-game tickets for all home games except Florida State are also on sale. Tickets start at $20 for non-conference games against Colgate and USF, $25 for the Louisville and NC State games, and $30 for the Virginia Tech contest. Florida State tickets are scheduled to go on sale July 26.
