Dome Will Have Orange And Red Again

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse and Cornell will renew a long-standing rivalry between the Central New York programs when the Orange host the Big Red on Tuesday, December 27, in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse has a 90-31 advantage in the series with Cornell and the Orange have captured the most recent 36 pairings. The Syracuse-Cornell matchup is the second-most frequent in Orange history, just behind the meetings between Syracuse and Colgate.

The Big Red were 10-18 overall and 3-11 in the Ivy League last season. Top scorers Matt Morgan (18.9 ppg.), a guard, and backcourt mate Robert Hatter (17.1 ppg.), are both back on the Cornell roster.

Brian Earl, a former assistant coach and associate head coach at Princeton, is in his first season as head coach at Cornell.

Syracuse reached its sixth NCAA Final Four last year, capping off a 23-14 campaign.

Coach Jim Boeheim enters his 41st season as Syracuse head coach.
