Orange Announce MBB Exhibition Games

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse will begin its 2016-17 men's basketball season with exhibition games against Indiana (Pa.) and Le Moyne on November 1 and 8, respectively. Both contests are scheduled for the Carrier Dome.
Indiana (Pa.), an NCAA Division II program, posted a 21-8 record a season ago. The Crimson Hawks reached the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament before ending their campaign with a 90-89 overtime loss to West Chester. Coach Joe Lombardi has 10 seasons under his belt at the school and owns a 225-85 record. Lombardi has guided the Crimson Hawks into the NCAA Division II Championship game twice.
Patrick Beilein, the son of Michigan coach John Beilein, is in his second season at the Le Moyne helm. The Dolphins were 10-17 in his first year. Syracuse and Le Moyne also met in an exhibition game last season and the Orange emerged, 97-58.
Syracuse reached its sixth NCAA Final Four last year, capping off a 23-14 campaign.
Coach Jim Boeheim enters his 41st season as Syracuse head coach.
