'Cuse At ACC Media Day

Hall of Fame head coach Jim Boeheim, junior guard Frank Howard and sophomore guard Tyus Battle spent Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C., participating in ACC Media Day.
Coaches and student-athletes from each ACC school went through interviews with print, radio and television reporters.
One interview segment at the ESPN studios included Boeheim, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and North Carolina mentor Roy Williams. The three Hall of Fame members have combined for close to 3,000 wins and nine NCAA Championships. The group represented three of the top four on the Division I wins list among active coaches.
It was the first trip to conference media day for Howard and Battle. Teams traditionally bring upper classmen to the event. Syracuse's youthful roster this season has Howard and Battle in "veteran" roles.
The Orange have an exhibition game against Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday, November 1, in the Carrier Dome. The team's regular-season opener is against Cornell on riday, November 10.
