Strong Showing for Men's Rowing

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Syracuse men's rowing team competed in its final event of the fall season on Saturday morning, the Cornell Autumn Classic. Syracuse recorded its best showing in the varsity eight race, placing first among 20 entries.
In the varsity eight, head coach Dave Reischman sent out four crews. The second varsity eight boat, which consisted of coxswain Dominic Santora, Mike Glaude, Sam Busco, Noah Messner, Kyle Leimeister, Kenneth Hubbard, Pieter Kerpestein, Silviu Tudor and Patrick Shober, recorded a time of 11:37.7 in the 3,000-meter event and 300-meter sprint.
Reischman sent out five crews in the varsity four event. The first varsity boat and second varsity boat placed second and third, respectively.
Syracuse will open its spring season against Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC)-foe Wisconsin on Saturday, April 7 in Liverpool, N.Y.
