SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse hosts Middle Tennessee in the first meeting between the two schools Saturday, Sept. 9 in the Carrier Dome. Kickoff between the Orange and the Blue Raiders is scheduled for 3:35 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Highlights of what's happening on campus leading up to the second game of the 2017 slate include pregame festivities on the Quad starting at 12 p.m. At 1:35 p.m., the "Pride of the Orange" marching band will perform on the steps of Carnegie Library.

The band's pregame performance inside the Dome starts at 3:15 p.m. and Coach Dino Babers will lead the team onto the field at 3:30 p.m.

At the end of the first quarter, Syracuse will honor the undefeated 1987 football team, which finished No. 4 in both national polls. More than 40 players from the legendary squad are expected to be in attendance, including team captains Don McPherson and Paul Frase.

Head coach Dick MacPherson, who passed away in August, was named the 1987 national coach of the year by several organization, including the Bobby Dodd Foundation. On Saturday, members of the foundation will be on hand to present the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year trophy to members of the MacPherson family.

1:30 p.m. – "Orange Gameday" radio show begins locally on 99.5 FM (TK 99)
1:35 p.m. – Carrier Dome gates open to the public
1:35 p.m. – Syracuse Marching Band performs on the steps of Carnegie Library
2:30 p.m. – "Orange Pregame" begins across the Syracuse IMG Sports Network
3:15 p.m. – Marching Band takes the field for pregame performance
3:20 p.m. – Alma Mater and National Anthem
3:27 p.m. – Syracuse intro video
3:29 p.m. – Tunnel Walk
3:30 p.m. – Syracuse takes the field
3:31 p.m. – Middle Tennessee takes the field
3:32 p.m. – Coin Toss
