
NCAA Prelims End with 3 Heading to Eugene

The NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary ended with three members of the Orange advancing to Eugene, Oregon for the NCAA Championships.
Selma Anderson was the lone competitor on the fourth night of competition for Syracuse, which saw 14 members of the Orange compete across the four-day meet.
Anderson placed 15th in her heat of the 5,000-meter run, crossing the line in 16:14.05.
'Cuse's three runners heading to Eugene are Benne Anderson, Jamir Brown and Elijah Mallard. All three will begin their competition on Wednesday, June 10. Anderson will race in the 1,500-meter run, Brown in the 110-meter hurdles and Mallard in the 400-meter hurdles. Each race will be a national semifinal, with the finals on Friday.
